Well, it's been raining — off and on — for nearly 48 hours here in Maryland. Not a drizzle. Not a shower. Not a sprinkle. Not a “singin-in-the-rain” kinda precipitation. This feels like an honest-to-God, round up all the animals and build an ark, deluge. Metro Center flooded. Half the Beltway was closed. Roads are washed out, and the street gutters have are running at about a class 4 white-water level. Meanwhile, the hole in my roof… the one just above the headboard on my side of the bed, is dripping with the arrhythmic beat of Chinese water torture. But everyone knows, I've never met a silly theme I couldn't compliment with a soundtrack. I'm all over the musical theme of rain—and I've even touched on it once already with a great tune by The Jazz Butcher—but I just couldn't resist this comedic addition to the song of the day in light of the apocalyptic downpour we've been experiencing.
