It’s hard to believe that the Happy Medium Song of the Day has been silent since last March — St. Patrick’s Day to be exact. Believe me, the music had nothing to do with it. Chalk it up to temporary ennui and technical difficulties. In other words, I got lazy and my computer was fucked up. But here on the eve of the 2008 Presidential elections my Mac is humming along like a finely tuned pop song, and I’m feeling anything but listless and lazy.
Hope and change are in the air. Hope and change are in the air and Barack Obama is going to be elected President of the United States tomorrow.

The Fireman is actually the (crummy) name for the unlikely duo of Paul McCartney and Youth (from the British band, Killing Joke—more on them some other time). “Sing the Changes” is the uplifting single from The Fireman’s newest release, Electric Arguments. This Happy Medium Song of the Day could just as easily be the victory song for the Obama campaign tomorrow night. Sing the changes indeed. (Please use the comments box to share your thoughts.)
