I am just feeling so overwhelmed with new music these days… I mean, there just seems to be a lot of GREAT new music “out there” and even more ways of tracking it down and listening to it. One aspect of tracking things down on the internet that I particularly enjoy is the way “one thing leads to another.” Sometimes those side columns with the header “If you liked so-and-so, you should listen to so-and-so” really do work! Like stepping stones from one good band and it's influences to another that shares the same influences with a different twist. Here’s what the Sunday Times had to say about today's featured artist: “anyone who reckons pop’s finest hour happened when THE BEATLES, THE BYRDS, and THE BEACH BOYS were at their mid-1960’s peak, simply must listen to Daniel Wylie.” Now, how can you go wrong with that kind of comment?
OK, I don't know much else about Daniel Wylie, but I know what I like… The Happy Medium Song of the Day is from Daniel’s second CD, Ramshackle Beauty and it's called “Unwind” — something we can all stand to do from time to time.
