Seems like I always turn to U2 for my birthday soundtrack and this year is no exception. In four days I'll be in Cleveland for my 8th U2 concert in 37 years. I can't wait. A good friend saw them at Fed-Ex Field in DC a week ago and she said it was a "religious experience." I have no doubt.
What makes Saturday's show particularly special - in addition to sharing the experience with someone who will be seeing U2 for the first time as well as family and friends - is the band will be performing The Joshua Tree in its entirety and that is the only U2 tour I missed back in the day. I am very excited to hear all the songs from that album performed live, but I would give anything to hear them add one of my favorite songs to the set. “Window in the Skies” is an overlooked gem from the U218 Singles collection that lifts my spirits every time I hear it and it is today’s Happy Medium Song of the Day.
