So the last team standing from the AFC North after Baltimore’s loss to the Bills yesterday, is the Cleveland Browns. The fact that it’s mid-January and I’m even still thinking about the Browns is unbelievable. And no matter what happens this afternoon, getting to watch my team in the playoffs and sharing that excitement with friends and family, fellow Clevelanders and fellow Browns fans (old and new) has been fantastic. Sure, I know it’s just football, but the weekly bursts of excitement and have been downright therapeutic at a time when vaccines are not the only thing in short supply. Browns fans have been aching to bask in the pride a winning team can bestow. This glimmer of hope has been such a long-time coming. It’s Magic, and so is the Happy Medium Song of the Day by the Scottish band, Pilot. Forget the fact that these lads were inspired to write this song in 1974 after witnessing a spectacular sunrise in Edinburgh — the Browns are in the AFC divisional playoffs, for the first time since 2002. Thanks for a great season, boys!
