So now it’s treasonous to express dissent and not stand to applaud and encourage lunacy, hyperbole, and narcissism? Please. Can’t we have just one day without controversy, conspiracy and bombast? One day without insult and intolerance and childish petulance? One day without ignominy and arrogance?
Can we return to being presidential, democratic, diplomatic and compassionate? Can we bring back decorum, dignity, and integrity? Can we refrain from the moral high ground, avoid the gutter and seek out the happy medium?
I’m not the only one looking for a day of calm and asking these kinds of questions. Apparently other people like my good friend Tom Lofgren and his neighbor Mike Frazier feel the same way. Fortunately, Tom and Mike felt compelled to musically articulate those questions and concerns and e-mail me the result. From my inbox to your ears, the Happy Medium Song of the Day is “So Called President.” (Please use the comments box to share your thoughts.)
